Overview

Founded in 1896 and headquartered in London, UK, Knight Frank is one of the world’s leading independent real estate consultancies. Knight Frank India believes there’s a human element in the world of property that is too easily overlooked. They believe personal interaction is a crucial part of ensuring every client is matched to the property that suits their needs best – be it commercial or residential.

In need of a theme for it’s 2019-20 Indian Real Estate report and with a design brief to attempt to honour human elements in the report, they approached Velocita Brand.

Celebrating one of the oldest art forms

Gond Art is a folk and tribal art form that is practised by one of the largest tribes in India- the Gond. Pre-dominantly from Madhya Pradesh, the work of the Gond artists is rooted in their folk tales and culture, making story telling an important element of every painting. In fact, Gond paintings were even used to record history by the Gond.

Design Process

The look and feel is reminiscent of traditional comic books—only much better, contributing to a vibrant reader experience. Upon opening the report, it reveals an embossed cityscape and Indian map – representing “a new landscape in financial real estate services”.

Page after page inside the brochure is filled with stunning colour tones and custom hand drawn illustrations that bring out the simplicity and complexity of Gond art at the same time. The style and tone is consistent throughout.

A tale of eight cities

Large fonts and highlights of colour help make strong and confident statements about the state of the residential and office space real estate market in the eight cities in focus— Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, NCR and Pune throughout the brochure.

Used on the front covers, the strong storytelling and illustration continues on the back cover as well.

Results
